Burger King " Impossible Whopper "

I've been telling my wife for a while now that going to a "Vegan Restaurant" is on my bucket list.  Of course raising kids & living in a small town doesn't provide much resources, especially when eating a Vegan Diet, but we manage to find stuff available within a 50 mile radius.

I've seen some evolution in "alternative's" & "Vegan" options getting more wide spread availability.  This is welcomed by us & gives more options while shopping.  However,  we've started seeing the big food chains getting a piece of the pie by offering something very appealing to us Vegans.

We've kept our eye peeled on information regarding Burger King's "Pilot"/"Beta" rollout of what they call the " IMPOSSIBLE WHOPPER ".  When calling around before it was not available at our nearest king but this week we tried calling again & viola it was there!  Rushing out the door to try it out we arrived & ordered it.  Asking for the burger to be baked instead of fried to avoid cross contamination.  I ordered 2 & came up to a "Whopping" $11.50!  Let me tell you these burgers are pretty big & the lady taking our order knew to request "No mayo" & "No Cheese".

We sat down with our small sweet teas & chowed.  They were really good & part of what I miss about eating regular burgers was that salty grilled flavor!  It was great & chatted with another fella that rolled up in his 2017 HD Cycle jamming to "Down with the Sickness".  It was a neat experience but also reminds me part of what I like about eating a " plant based " diet is I save money by not eating out at restaurants but looks like that might have to change once in a while.  This burger was good!
